This paper reports the results of the paleobiological study of the
human remains exhumed from the ancient Church of São João de
Almedina situated in the nowadays Museu Nacional Machado de
Castro during the month of January of 2008. These human remains
correspond to 3 primary burials - an old male, a young adult male
and a child that died around 3 years – besides some disperse nonadult
bones that represent a minimum number of one individual.
Among the paleopatholgy study, osteoartrosis and a case of
osteomielitis are the more relevant results.
